Bio: Ron Reeves Meadow, a native Californian, is a self-taught artist who began his artistic explorations in 1988. He produces art in a variety of media, including sculpture, stained glass, acrylic and oil painting, jewelry and drawing. His figurative work is informed by his extensive study of human anatomy while earning a doctorate from Texas Chiropractic College, and from many years of practice. Meadow's sculpture and paintings have been exhibited in juried shows at the Los Gatos Museum, San Jose Art League, Marin Society of Artists, Works Gallery in San Jose and The Santa Cruz Art League. His work has been shown in galleries in Los Gatos, Carmel, Los Angeles and San Francisco, California, as well as in Santa Fe, New Mexico and New York City. In 2004, Ron won first place in the South San Francisco Cultural Commission's Annual Art Show. In 2006, his painting "Banyan," was chosen for exhibition by The American Juried Art Salon. Ron currently leads a quiet life near Santa Cruz, California. "I see flowers as beautiful expressions of the sensitive creativity of the Life Force, sensuous sculptures in living colors. Painting them gives me a wonderful reason to be outdoors doing research, expands my appreciation of nature, teaches me the value of focused observation and, when the painting is going well, produces a state of ecstatic meditation."
