Prick of the Spindle hosts its first ever Fiction Open, and here's why you should submit:
1. Funds from the Open go toward helping Prick of the Spindle become non-profit, which means grants for the journal. And where there are grants, there is growth--which, for us, means future print issues, online workshops for writers, and the continued success of a journal that is truly dedicated to the arts.
2. It's only $5.
3. The three winners and honorable mentions will be published in a special signature print edition. Fiction Open winners will receive a free copy of the edition, which will also be made available for purchase through the website. Additionally, the grand prize winner receives an original piece of art by Cynthia Reeser.
4. All submissions will be automatically considered for publication in regular issues of Prick of the Spindle.
