Supply & Remand
by Eric Mohrman

pock-
ets stuffed with sentiments, a

           face full

of
vice—covert chickadees in

           hideout

oak trees

ask
each other the most
in-
ane
questions in
the    most           angelic              voices

we’ve
walked this once
sce-
nic street a
thousand     times           &            it
has
walked over us as
many

O how I’m
sure
that
sun rages bright
lie-down-in-me light
be-
hind     that         gloom-               gray
cumu-
lonimbu—& an-

             other

pair
of eyes
tossed on-
to    the         discard                pile
